ABOUT ME

Dr. Brenda Ayres is a full professor of nineteenth-century English literature with a subspecialty in nineteenth-century American literature. To date her published scholarship includes over 400 articles and 75 books with these published in 2023: Wollstonecraft and Religion (Anthem), Becoming Wollstonecraft: The Interconnection of Her Life and Works (Routledge), Making Connections: A Handbook to E-texts of British Literature (Hayden-McNeil), The Routledge Handbook of Victorian Scandals in Literature and Culture (Routledge), andThe Palgrave Handbook of Neo Victorianism (Palgrave). Others are at this site/books. She republished What Dog Lovers Know About God and published its sequel through Aspire, with the expectation of publishing Book 3 in 2024. She is also the Series editor for women’s literature for Routledge. A member of Bethlehem UMC in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, she sings on its choir and often teaches a Bible Study. Annie and Libby are her two cocker spaniels, her best buddies. All three of us are rescues.
